Disney are planning a raft of new electronic products for release in time for Christmas, led by a pink or blue netbook computer and including a novel range of digital camcorders and MP3 players.
Disney Netpal Netbook
Based on the latest Asus mini-notebook, the Netpal is aimed at children aged 6 to 12 and will use the Windows XP Operating System. Expected to retail at around £250 the Netpal will be available in Princess Pink or Magic Blue and will feature Disney branded cases and a customisable interface based on your kid’s favourite Disney theme.
Specs include an 8.9” display, Wi-Fi, an ample 1GB of memory and a choice of either a solid-state 16GB or mechanical 160GB hard drives. The netbook will have a spill-proof keyboard and a rugged design which will stand up to the punishment that only a child can inflict. There will also be a suite of parental controls and dedicated software including Disney games and access to a Disney media area.

Download the pictures taken to a PC and use the Disney Pix photo editing software to add frames, fun graphics and special effects.
Disney Pix Jnr Camcorder

With an ergonomic design and easy one-handed operation the Pix Jnr video recorder is aimed at very young children as an alternative to the popular Flip video recorder.
The Pix Jnr will be available in either a Princess Pink or Disney Cars theme and will have up to 15 minutes video capture and playback on a 1.5” colour screen. There will also be an option to connect to a PC for more advanced video editing.
Disney Pix Twist Camcorder
A more advanced 5 mega pixel video recorder, aimed at tweens, the Pix Twist will feature 16MB of internal memory and will be available in Disney themes including Hannah Montana and Princess Petals.
Disney MP3 Players
Other products to be released include a 2Gb Mp3 player with flashing LED lights; a Buzz Lightyear Robot; and a game system like the Wii called the Zippity
Expected to go on sale through Toys R Us and Amazon later this year.
Buzz Lightyear – The iconic figure form Disney’s Toy Story is back. This latest action figure has pop-out wings with lights on the wing-tips and a host of phrases and sound effects.
